We believe in fair, transparent terms. This policy clearly explains what is refundable, what is not, and how to request a refund — with no hidden clauses.

At Hostinking, we stand behind the quality of our services. This Refund Policy explains when you are eligible for a refund, which services are non-refundable, and how to submit a refund request. We aim to be fair to every customer while maintaining a sustainable business.

By purchasing any service from Hostinking, you agree to the terms described in this policy. This policy applies to all customers worldwide, regardless of country of residence. Where local consumer protection laws provide rights beyond what is described here, those rights are not affected by this policy.

Web Hosting Plans

30-Day Money-Back

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all shared web hosting plans. If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase.

  • Applies to first-time purchases only — not renewals or upgrades
  • The account must not have been used for spam, abuse, or policy violations
  • Any domain name registered as part of a hosting bundle is non-refundable (see Domains section)
  • If a free domain was included, its wholesale registration cost (typically $10–$20 USD) will be deducted from your refund
  • Refunds are not available on accounts suspended or terminated for Terms of Service violations

VPS Hosting

7-Day Money-Back

VPS plans are eligible for a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date of initial provisioning. Because VPS resources are immediately allocated when your order is placed, the refund window is shorter than shared hosting.

  • Applies to first-time VPS purchases only
  • The VPS must not have been used for sending spam, running crypto miners, launching attacks, or any prohibited activity
  • Refund requests submitted after 7 days will not be accepted
  • Any additional IP addresses or add-ons purchased separately are non-refundable
  • Managed add-ons are non-refundable once setup work has begun

Dedicated Servers

Non-Refundable After Setup

Dedicated servers require physical hardware to be reserved, configured, and provisioned exclusively for your account. As a result, dedicated server orders are non-refundable once provisioning has begun.

  • Setup fees are non-refundable under all circumstances
  • If provisioning has not started within 24 hours of payment, a full refund may be requested
  • Contact support immediately if you wish to cancel before setup begins
  • Hardware failures or extended downtime exceeding our SLA thresholds may be eligible for pro-rated service credits (not cash refunds)

Domain Names

Non-Refundable

Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are strictly non-refundable. This is an industry-wide standard set by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers). Once a domain is registered or transferred, the registry fee is immediately charged to our registrar and cannot be reversed.

  • Domain registrations: no refund under any circumstances
  • Domain renewals: no refund once processed
  • Domain transfers: no refund once the transfer is initiated
  • Domain privacy / WHOIS protection: non-refundable
  • Premium domain names: non-refundable
  • DNS management is included free — no separate charge

Important: We strongly recommend verifying the domain spelling and extension before completing your purchase. We are unable to refund or transfer a domain registered in error.

Email Hosting

30-Day Money-Back

Email hosting plans are eligible for a 30-day money-back guarantee on initial purchases. This covers standalone email hosting plans purchased separately from web hosting.

  • Applies to first-time purchases only — not renewals
  • Email accounts must not have been used to send spam or unsolicited messages
  • Refunds are not available once a large volume of emails has been sent through the account
  • Email plans bundled with web hosting follow the web hosting refund terms

SSL Certificates

30-Day If Not Issued

Paid SSL certificates may be refunded within 30 days provided the certificate has not been issued. Once a certificate is issued by the Certificate Authority (CA), it cannot be revoked or refunded.

  • Let's Encrypt (free) SSL certificates have no charge and therefore no refund applies
  • Paid SSL certificates: refundable within 30 days if not yet issued
  • Once issued (even if not installed), the SSL certificate is non-refundable
  • Multi-year SSL purchases: if issued in the first year, no refund for any remaining years

Renewals

Non-Refundable

Renewal payments are non-refundable. It is your responsibility to cancel your service before the renewal date if you no longer wish to continue.

  • We send renewal reminder emails 30 days, 14 days, and 3 days before expiry
  • Cancellations must be submitted via the client dashboard before the renewal date
  • Accidental renewals may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis within 48 hours of the renewal charge — contact support immediately
  • Services auto-suspended for non-payment and then reinstated do not qualify for a renewal refund

Promotional & Discounted Purchases

Services purchased at a promotional or discounted price are subject to the same refund windows as regular purchases, with one modification: refunds will be based on the discounted amount actually paid, not the standard list price.

  • Flash sale and limited-time offer purchases are eligible for refund under standard terms
  • Bundle deal discounts: if only part of a bundle is refunded, the discount may be recalculated and deducted
  • Promotional free months or trial credits are non-refundable as no charge was made
  • Referral credits applied to an invoice are non-refundable in cash — they return to your referral balance if the order is refunded

Service Interruptions & Credits

If your service experiences downtime that exceeds our 99.9% uptime SLA, you may be eligible for service credits applied to your account — not cash refunds.

  • Credits are calculated as a pro-rated portion of your monthly fee for the affected downtime period
  • Credits must be requested within 7 days of the incident via a support ticket
  • Downtime caused by scheduled maintenance windows (announced 48 hrs in advance) does not qualify
  • Downtime caused by client actions, third-party software, or DDoS attacks targeting your account does not qualify
  • Credits are applied to your next invoice and have no cash value
  • Maximum SLA credit per month is capped at 30% of that month's service fee

No Refunds for Policy Violations

Accounts that are suspended or terminated due to violations of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy are not eligible for any refund. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Sending spam or unsolicited bulk email
  • Hosting malware, phishing pages, or illegal content
  • Running cryptocurrency miners without authorization
  • Launching denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks
  • Abuse of shared server resources impacting other clients
  • Fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes
  • Providing false registration information

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

  1. 1Log in to your client dashboard at your account portal
  2. 2Navigate to Support → Open a New Ticket
  3. 3Select "Billing & Refunds" as the department
  4. 4Include your invoice number, the service you wish to cancel, and the reason for your refund request
  5. 5Our billing team will review your request and respond within 1 business day

Processing time: Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days and returned to your original payment method. The actual posting time depends on your bank or payment provider.

Your Rights Under Applicable Law

Hostinking serves customers worldwide. The refund terms in this policy apply globally. Depending on your country of residence, additional statutory rights may apply.

European Union & UK

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital services not yet started. Our 30-day guarantee for web and email hosting already exceeds this. By requesting immediate service activation at checkout, you acknowledge the right of withdrawal may be waived for services already in use.

GCC Countries

Customers in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman are fully covered by this policy. Local consumer protection authorities (such as the UAE Consumer Protection Department or Saudi SAMA) may provide additional recourse if you believe a refund was unfairly denied.

Egypt & Africa

Egyptian customers are protected under Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018. The refund windows in this policy apply in full. If you believe a refund was wrongly denied, you may contact the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) or your local consumer authority.

Americas & Asia-Pacific

Customers in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region are covered by this policy in full. US customers may also refer to FTC consumer protection guidelines. Australian customers retain rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that this policy does not override.

Governing Law & Disputes: This policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Hostinking is registered (Dubai, UAE). Disputes that cannot be resolved through our support process may be referred to binding arbitration or the competent courts. Regardless of jurisdiction, statutory consumer rights in your country of residence are not waived by this policy.

Changes to This Policy

Hostinkingreserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify clients of material changes via email at least 14 days in advance.
